Presidential Politics: Can’t We Keep Them Out for A While?
One thing that I was very excited about when considering moving to New Hampshire (I’ll write more details on exactly why I left Taxachusetts) was that my vote would FINALLY count in a presidential election. Living in the People’s Republic basically meant that my vote wasn’t worth shit as far as presidential politics (or even state politics come to think of it) go.
So while I’m glad my vote will finally matter, I’m also somewhat blase about having the presidential candidates constantly coming here to New Hampshire. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good thing for them to meet voters in person. In many states, there’s no feasible way to do that. Here in NH, it’s possible for them to campaign directly with voters.
However, I am getting sick of hearing about Hillary Clinton (ugh) or some of the others have arrived in the state. Blah, blah, blah. It’s so far from the actual election that I just can’t get excited about any of these dweebs showing up.
Wake me up in about 8 or 9 months or so. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
