Rest in Peace Army Spc. Justin Rollins

New Hampshire has lost a son and a patriot.

A soldier from Newport wounded by a roadside bomb in Iraq last November was killed in a Humvee explosion Monday morning north of Baghdad, friends and family members said yesterday.

Those closest to Army Spc. Justin Rollins, 22, describe him as a loyal friend with an outrageous sense of humor and a strong desire to serve his country.

A member of the 82nd Airborne Division, Rollins had experience as a paratrooper and infantryman. He was killed along with five other soldiers Monday, his older brother, Jon, said.

God rest his soul and God bless his family. Thank you for your service, Justin. Rest in peace.

The 23rd Psalm - "The Lord is my Shepherd...

The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’ sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

    It was an priviledge to stand and honor Justin as he made his last pass through the Newport Middle High School. It saddens me to tears when I think of the loss of this young man, son and friend. I’m envious of those who new him, as I feel I’ve missed out on something special. Suzi C
