Tax Revolt in Hopkinton

Good for them. Now let’s see more of it across the state.

Hopkinton voters expressed months of mounting frustration over tax increases yesterday.

They ousted incumbent Selectwoman Louise Carr. They elected a school board candidate who pledged to improve education while keeping an eye on costs. And they rejected a bid by former school board member Arpiar Saunders to become school district treasurer, re-electing Arnold Coda, who has frequently called on town officials to trim budgets.
