Sorry Nevada but you’re still not going to be New Hampshire
I hope Governor Lynch and company are ready to respond to this challenge from Nevada.
New Hampshire officials are watching as a parade of states continues moving to early positions on the 2008 presidential primary and caucus calendar.
The latest move comes from Nevada Republicans, whose leaders are concerned about the attention their state’s Democrats have been receiving after being awarded an early caucus by the Democratic National Committee.
The Nevada’s GOP executive committee reached an informal consensus on Friday to jump their caucus to Jan. 19, 2008, the same day the Democrats plan to hold their caucus. On the DNC’s proposed calendar, Jan. 19 is three days ahead of the New Hampshire first-in-the-nation primary, set by the DNC for Jan. 22.
Hey, I like Vegas as much as the next guy but NH should and will remain the first primary in the country.
Don’t like it Nevada? Tough crap.
