Turkey Hunting Gear

Went down to Wildlife Taxidermy yesterday in Manchester and got my gear for turkey hunting. I got a call, some decoys, a GREAT deal on camo gear (50% off on leaf pants and jacket) and some other stuff. Great store, check it out if you are in the Manchester area. They are right on Candia Road.

Here’s a pic of me wearing the camo gear and holding my shotgun in the kitchen. Yes, I know I look like a total dork with the white socks showing. I picked up some boots but forgot to put them on for the picture. Oops! :D

I sent the pic to my mom and a few friends. Well my mother – not understanding anything about turkey hunting – thought I was frighteningly sinister looking. I had to explain to her about how good turkey’s eyes are and why it’s necessary to wear camo, etc. I think it was the face covering that freaked her out the most. LOL

Anyway, I’ll be doing some scouting soon for places to hunt. It’d be a gas to get a turkey my first time out (yes this is my first season).
