How much wood could a woodchuck chuck…?

I found a neat farm to do some hunting on earlier today. Chatted with the farmer and got an okay from him to hunt. Very nice guy.

I got two goose eggs and a dozen duck eggs from him while we were chatting. I ate the goose egg after I got home and it was great, the BIGGEST YOLK I EVER SAW AND ATE! Sucked it down with some home fries, delicious!!!

I went back to the farm later on to walk around and check it out. Well sure enough I found a woodchuck (groundhog) in one of the fields. I didn’t have my rifle (story of my life this week!) so I just walked around and found the hole he was in. Well he stuck his nose out to see if he could see me. See him in the photo? His nose is in the bottom right part of the hole with the leaves in it. What a riot.

I will probably go back there and see if I can get him tomorrow. That little sucker is digging some SERIOUS holes in that field! I almost stepped in one as I was leaving. Ouch!

Anybody have a good recipe for woodchuck? :D
