Trout Season Underway in New Hampshire

Get out there and get some!

Anglers can expect some really big trout — 15 inches long and weighing in at more than two pounds — to take their baits tomorrow when brook trout season opens on the state’s designated trout and fly-fishing-only ponds.

Those large trout, surplus brood fish from the state’s fish hatcheries, were stocked late last fall in several ponds around the state. And they’re being augmented by nearly a million brook, rainbow and brown trout yearlings which are in the process of being stocked from the state’s hatcheries.

I just got my new waders and wading boots, as well as my 07 NH hunting & fishing combo license.

I CANNOT wait to hit the rivers!

I saw some guy in the souhegan river today with waders. I’ve never done that before but it looks cool! I gotta get some waders…
