NES Shoot at the Shirley Rod and Gun Club
Had a great time yesterday at the spring NES shoot at the Shirley Rod and Gun Club, down in Taxachusetts. Derek, Jim and a number of other folks did a great job putting the event together. Thanks so much guys for all of your effort. And the wings were great, Derek!
I didn’t end up shooting any guns yesterday though, I just used my bow. The Shirley Rod and Gun Club has a really nice archery setup. What was really great was that all the gun nuts (just kidding guys) were over at the gun range so I had the entire archery range to myself! Muhuahahahaha! Gotta love that!
The pic of the target below is of some groupings I shot with my bow at ten yards. Not too bad. My shooting got a lot worse though at 30 yards. I was a little jittery too with people watching me shoot but I didn’t do too bad. It’s time to get my bow up to 60 pound pull though as it’s only about 53 or so right now.
A good time was had by all yesterday. :)

I’m glad you made it down Jim. I had a great time. Just think in two weeks I’ll no longer be a subject of the Commiewealth.
Cheers brother…
Yep, two more weeks and welcome to freedom my friend. :)
Be ready to start helping us defend it as we battle the socialist majority in the legislature though.

So is a good ten shot .45 group at 50 meters. :)
