Right to Carry Firearms in America Since 1986

Here’s an excellent animated map of the progress we’ve made as a nation since 1988 when it comes to the right to carry firearms for personal protection. I got the link off a post over at Nuge’s board but the map comes from the Gun Nuttery site.

Note: Be sure to click the top map to see the animated version that spans from 1986 to the present. It gives a really good visual representation of how much progress we’ve made.

The NRA also has a map of its own (below) but it doesn’t do as well as the animated one in outlining our progress. All in all though, we have made a HUGE amount of progress over the last twenty years.
