Supreme Court to Hear 2nd Amendment Rights Case

I’m sure you’ve already heard by now that the US Supreme Court is going to hear a case involving the second amendment.

A lot of people are excited about this and are looking forward to a definitive ruling by the court in favor of the view that the 2nd amendment protects an individual right to own, carry and use firearms. I’m hoping that too but another part of me is bracing for disappointment. I just don’t want to get my hopes up too high and then have the court issue either a negative ruling or a very narrow one that doesn’t help us as we fight against those who would take our rights away.

Keep your fingers crossed, people. Let’s hope for the best but be ready for the worst.

Note that one important issue that all of this underscores is how incredibly important control of the Supreme Court really is…can you imagine how bad things would be if we had had President Gore or President Kerry? Think ahead and consider what will happen if Hillary Clinton gets to pick the next couple of justices…I shudder to even consider it.

So those of you who lean conservative and are disgusted by the thought of Giuliani or Romney as the republican candidate…compare them to what we’d get if the Clintons are allowed to control the government once again. Ugh. We really must make sure a republican president takes office next time around, we just cannot afford to have leftists running the Supreme Court.

This case is going to force the presidential candidates to make a stand on this issue which will hopefully help our side and, at the very least, might get gun owners out to vote for the candidate that will protect our rights instead of take them away. I will be voting for the republican candidate regardless of who it is because there really is no other choice. The Democrats will not nominate anybody but a gun-grabbing socialist even if it’s not Clinton. There’s just no way I could vote for a Democrat at this point.
