Wolves in New Hampshire?

Brief article by John Harrigan about deer having difficulty in the snow. But the part of it that interested concerned wolves in New Hampshire:

But the coyotes belong there, having filled the niche left vacant by the elimination of the wolf (which now, by the way, is coming back; as famed tracker Susan Morse has said, it’s only a matter of time). The coyote is making a living, and can risk only so much energy and chance of injury. It will give up the chase at a certain point. Not so the domestic dog. It is assured a square meal and a warm bed back home no matter what, and can expend all the energy it wants.

I was unfamiliar with Susan Morse, so I googled and found this article about her and her own site. I sent her an email asking her thoughts about wolves in NH so hopefully she will get back to me. It may already be happening and I think the idea is quite exciting in some ways.

Edit: I found this page with some interesting information about wolves in the northeast.
