Vice Guide to North Korea: Inside the Hermit Kingdom

These folks managed to get inside North Korea and get video and pictures.

It’s pretty much a trip inside Bizarro Country. Hard to believe a place like North Korea actually still exists but it does. It truly is the land that time forgot.

It’s broken down into 14 episodes of about 3 – 5 minutes each. Get yourself a cup of your favorite beverage and kick back to watch it.

I cannot imagine how boring and tedious it would be to live in a place like that. No liberty whatsoever, everyone exists solely to maintain the “glory and power” of the state. It’s the politics of Massachusetts taken to its logical political conclusion.

Frightening.

I can’t help but wonder…how the hell do you deal with a society of brainwashed zombies like this when this regime inevitably falls? How do you help them to cope with changing their mindset to embrace freedom and modernity? What exactly is going to happen when the government of North Korea finally falls?

I’d say the south koreans have their work cut out for them, big time. They’re going to have to try to pick up the pieces and fix this unbelievable train-wreck of a society.
