Ticks in New Hampshire
Well it’s the start of spring and it’s also the start of the tick season. I was out walking around a conservation area today and found one on my pant leg already. Time to treat my boots and pants/shorts/shirt with Sawyer Duranon Permethrin Insect Repellent. It worked great last year.
If you’re already using a DEET based repellant, you should read this article that explains the differences between the two kinds of repellants.
I would use DEET if you must only on your skin and use the permethrin based repellant on clothing and shoes as it lasts for weeks.
Ticks are NASTY critters. Make sure you protect yourself and you family.
