Gun Licensing in Massachusetts
Well the Globe’s story about gun licensing in Massachusetts is out and overall I think it’s pretty good. They goofed on the graphic though and I emailed them to ask them to change it. The finger on the trigger thing is a big no-no so hopefully they will get that changed ASAP.
The quote from the Quincy MA chief of police Robert F. Crowley absolutely sickens me. As I understand it he is retiring soon and all I can say is good riddance. What an arrogant, self-important elitist…how dare he presume that lawful citizens must show “need” and bow down to him to get an “unrestricted” license?
The guy is a royal asshole and his departure can’t come soon enough for the people of Quincy. Guys like him demonstrate their ignorance of our nation’s history and their utter contempt for the rights of the people when they abuse their power to limit the exercise of constitutional rights. Good riddance to Robert Crowley.
I’d like to see the MA attorney general’s office going after some of these towns that blatantly violate the law. But I don’t hold out much hope either. It’s one of the reasons why I left Massachusetts and moved to New Hampshire. There’s just so much corruption in MA that I am not sure the system will ever be fixed. But I hope I’m wrong. We’ll see, I guess.
I wonder if MA realizes how many productive, law-abiding people it’s driven out with its draconian gun laws and blatant government corruption? I guess they just don’t care down there but maybe they will as the great exodus out of the state continues over the next 10 – 20 years.
BTW, if you’re a gun owner in MA then be sure to join the Gun Owner’s Action League. GOAL is fighting to protect your constitutional rights so make sure you join them and add your voice and your vote to their work. MA gun owners need to be united in the face of massive state tyranny so sign up for GOAL as soon as you can.
