First Day of Firearms Deer Season 2008
Looks like some people had good luck gun deer hunting. Congrats to all.
By the time Bill Driscoll assumed his stance behind the cash register at the Brick Store yesterday morning, there was a line of hunters waiting to register the deer they took on the first day of firearms season.
“Between 8:30, quarter to nine, they were lined right up,” said Driscoll. “They were out early, dragged their deer out of the woods and were done for the day.”
Along with taking care of the paperwork to register deer, Driscoll also keeps the deer pool updated. The bright orange chart records each hunter who brings in a deer, along with where it was taken and, most importantly, how much it weighs.
