Panda Bites Stupid Person
I thought that this was the worst part of this story:
A college student in southern China was bitten by a panda after he broke into the bear’s enclosure hoping to get a hug, state media and a park employee said Saturday.
The student was visiting Qixing Park with classmates on Friday when he jumped the 6.5-foot (2-meter) -high fence around the panda’s habitat, said the park employee, who refused to give his name.
The student was pale as he was taken away by medics but appeared clear-headed, he said.
“Yang Yang was so cute and I just wanted to cuddle him. I didn’t expect he would attack,” the 20-year-old student, surnamed Liu, said in a local hospital, according to the official Xinhua News Agency.
And then I read it all the way to the end and found this:
The same panda was in the news in 2006 when he bit a drunk tourist who broke into his enclosure and tried to hug him while he was asleep. The tourist retaliated by biting the bear in the back.
Seriously. People trying to hug pandas? And then biting the pandas when the pandas express their feelings that they DON’T WANT TO BE HUGGED BY HUMANS?
Wow. Just wow. I’ve heard of tree huggers but now we have panda huggers?
Come to think of it, what’s wrong with these pandas? Why aren’t they doing more damage than this? Seems to me that if the media reported that the pandas had ripped off somebody’s arm or killed them then that might communicate to these drunken fools that they ought to leave the pandas alone.
Come on pandas, what are you waiting for?

Well thanks so much, Jay. I appreciate that. Heh.
Because kids are brainwashed into thinking that these are not wild animals with an agenda and that they need our protection and would never harm us. They can’t separate fact from fiction, stuffed toys from wild beasts. They are disconnected from the harsh reality of nature.
